Laura joined Mellott & Mellott in 2014 after beginning her public accounting career with another local firm in the Cincinnati area. She gained experience in both the audit and tax sides of public accounting before choosing to specialize in tax.
She graduated from Miami University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and attained her Certified Public Accountant designation the following year.
Laura's main area of focus at Mellott is taxation. In addition to tax return preparation and compliance, she enjoys the strategic side of tax planning and gaining an understanding of each client's personal tax situation. She appreciates that tax is a year-round topic and not just seasonal.

In her free time, Laura enjoys traveling to new cities, attending major and minor league baseball games and visiting local breweries and coffee shops with her husband.
