Eric completed his accounting internship at Mellott & Mellott during the tax busy season in 2018. Upon finishing his internship he was hired on as a Staff Accountant. Prior to joining Mellott & Mellott, he ran a family-owned chimney sweeping business that serviced the Northern Kentucky and Southern Ohio areas.
Eric earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Northern Kentucky University.
At Mellott, Eric works both in tax and audit. During the busy season, he prepares various tax returns. The remainder of the year he is a member of the audit team and assists in the preparation of financial statements. His favorite part of auditing is the friendly interactions with clients and having the opportunity to see many diverse and interesting locations.

Eric grew up in Florence, KY, where he currently resides with his wife Stephanie.
Soccer was the sport of choice for Eric until he reached high school. At that point in his life, he decided to join the marching band at Boone County High School where he played the trumpet for four years. Now he enjoys cheering on the Bengals, tinkering with electronics and playing board games.
